Working to repair the way American self-government works.
Working to repair the way American self-government works.
Our country is struggling because we Americans keep trying to solve our problems by fighting one another.
Since the first Congress in 1789, America’s default approach to problem solving has been political combat: one side tries to win, the other tries to stop it. And out of that conflict, a compromise is supposed to emerge that serves the common good — but we know how often that happens. And how often the battle continues…for years…for decades.
It’s why nearly every political candidate promises to “fight” for voters—as if better outcomes come from defeating each other.
But there is another way.
Mission Possible is going to change the rules. The communities we are building and connecting will replace institutionalized conflict with institutionalized cooperation. Together, we are going to stop allowing our different perspectives to be exploited to divide us, and start using our different perspectives to deliberate our way to wise, well-informed solutions…as the Founders imagined.
We invite you to join us.
Mission Possible builds trust among Americans by working together on shared goals that will transform the rules of democracy and our role as citizens for generations to come.
